I just finished reading this YA fantasy written by one of the newer LGG members. I actually bought it, in my quest for YA spec fic to review, and Sherry seems to be shock over the fact that someone bought a copy. Caprice, if you want something to read this summer, you might ask SHerry for a review copy. I told her I was going to write some reviews and I think she would be more than happy to send review copies. But it is definitely YA--for girls more than guys. Quite a bit in the high fantasy tradition. A young girl pulled to another world to help in their time of need, like in the Narnia books. Instead of a lion the Christ figure is a Seabird. Similarities to other stories, but differences as well. And no dragons!!!! I liked it quite a bit. Motifs of light and Living water, importance of service and the Joy of Obedience.

I am reading it right now Cathi, but don't know when I'll have time to finish it.
Would you be interested in writing a Guild Review for the book?
I will send Caprice my copy as soon as I finish it, so no need to request one from Sherry -- she can save the money.
